About Shop Class Tattoo
Shop Class Tattoo is a private studio specializing in American Traditional Tattooing. This means the sort of classic imagery that was codified from the mid 1800's through to the mid 1900's by soldiers and sailors across Europe and the Americas, but also more modern designs applied in a traditional style.
Strong lines, solid blacks and colors, and bold designs that you can recognize from across the block.
You can pick from the images in Dan's Instagram profile under the "designs" highlight, his hand-painted flash under the "flash" highlight, a deep reference library of classic and time-tested tattoo imagery from the 1800's on to today, or have a custom tattoo designed around imagery of your choosing. Color or black and grey, we'll make sure you walk away with something you'll be happy to wear for life.
Shop Class Tattoo is run by appointment only with slots available weekdays after 4:30 pm and throughout the day on weekends starting at 8:00 am. The shop is located in the Port Morris/Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx.
